Reflections

Reflections is a National PTA arts contest open to students in grades pre-K through 12th grade. While the primary focus of Reflections is a celebration of creativity through positive recognition, finalists from local PTAs will move on to their council PTA (if applicable), then finalists from councils will move on to the state round. Washington State PTA finalists who receive an “Outstanding Interpretation” award will advance to the National PTA round.

Explore the arts and express yourself!

Participate in the PTSA Reflections program by submitting your completed works of art in one or all available art categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts (2D). Students may submit in as many arts categories as they would like, but just one piece per category.

Get started with your Reflections work. Rules can be found here:

Volunteer Opportunities

Oh sure, it's early in the school year but lots of amazing volunteer opportunities are coming soon and in order to be ready for them, it is a requirement to be LWSD-Volunteer-Approved. This is for the safety of our students and staff. Approval status of each volunteer is verified prior to every event.

The easy online application only takes 5-8 minutes and all you need is some personal info and an electronic copy or picture of your photo ID. However, it can take a week or more to receive your approval. Volunteer approvals are valid for two years. If you need to apply for approval for the first time or renew your approval, please submit your application as soon as possible by filling out the online application.

For more information, visit the Volunteering in LWSD page on the district’s website. There you can learn about the application process, check if your previous approval is still valid, plus other volunteer opportunities within LWSD.
