Thank you for considering a role on Redmond Middle School’s PTSA Board, chairing a position, or joining a committee. We really need all of you to step up for RMS in 2018/19!

Executive Board Member Positions (teal) are elected. Director Board Member Positions (yellow) are appointed by the Executive Board (as are Committees). Board members meet once monthly and attend 4 General Membership Meetings per year. Once a year, the Nominating Committee presents a slate at the general meeting and the membership (any PTSA member) votes on the Executive Board positions. The election for 2018-2019 was held at the May General Meeting on May 8, 2018.

We encourage and welcome more dads to our board and chair positions!

Most positions can be shared with a co-chair! Grab a friend or your significant other and volunteer together!

With any questions at all, please email our co-presidents president@rmsptsa.org we’ll be happy to track down any information you need about an opportunity.

These officers shall be elected according to Washington State PTA Bylaws. The officers shall assume office July 1st. These elected officers shall constitute the Executive Committee.

Every PTA member is eligible to be a board member (you don’t have to be an RMS PTSA member, your local school membership is fine). If you will have a student at RMS this year and if you have an hour a week to give in support of programs that help children to be successful students, we hope you will consider one of the open positions listed below.

  • Advocacy Director - Oversees committee of up to 6 focusing on issues affecting education, students, & teachers. Attends & votes at annual PTA Convention on these issues.   ~1hr/week + monthly meeting(s).
  • Fundraising Director - Compiles corporate matching donations. Organizes local fundraising opportunites.   ~1hrs+/week + monthly meeting(s).
  • Student Support Director - Non-board position. Helps co-ordinate student enrichment activities & clubs. ~less than 1hr/week.

Contact the co-presidents or any of the current board for more information.
