Please save the date for our Tuesday, May 8th General Meeting, which will also be our election for the 2018-2019 Board and 2017-2018 Volunteer Appreciation event. The event will run from 7 to 8:30 and all are welcome, including children.

We're looking for people to be on the board for the upcoming year. The elected positions which our nominating committee is working on filling are:

  • President- Oversees the board and chair positions, hosts monthly meetings, and communicates with school administration and parents. Maximum commitment of ~1hr/week + monthly meeting(s). 
  • Treasurer- Maintains management of PTA funds and bank accounts. Pays bills, receives and disburses all monies as voted upon by the general membership. Great role for a math geek! Maximum commitment of ~2hrs+/week. 
  • 1stVP - Assists in one or more roles (volunteers/communications) working directly with the PTSA President. Max ~1hr/week.
  • 2ndVP - Assists in one or more roles (communications/volunteers) working directly with the PTSA President. Max ~1hr/week.
  • Secretary- Are you good at taking notes? Love buying office supplies? The Secretary takes official meeting minutes and stores records for the PTSA. Maximum time commitment <1hr/week.

If you're moving up to the high school, their next general meeting and election is this Wednesday, April 11th @ 6pm in the library.

We've had a great year as your Co Presidents and look forward to the things that RMS PTSA will accomplish in the future. If you're looking to volunteer outside of the elected positions, we are collecting names and interests to pass along to the incoming team, please feel free to email president@rmsptsa.org and let us know how you'd like to be involved next year.
