• Do you love reading? Do you love competition? Are you a quiz bowl whiz? Then come find out about how to participate in the 2018-2019 Battle of the Books. Maybe you just want to find out what the Battle of the Books is. Informational meetings will be held in the library during each lunch today so that anyone interested can get the information. Bring your lunch and find out what’s happening!

 

  • After School study lab in our library goes from 2:40-3:30. The city of Redmond and our staff offers free homework help and a quiet place to study Monday thru Thursday each week.  We have an activity bus that runs on Wednesday only to select stops.  Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday you will need to find your own ride home.  Please see the office if you have any questions.

 

  • Interested in Coding? RMS is starting a Girls Who Code club. No experience? No worries!  Girls Who Code offers a wide range of computer science activities. We are trying to find a time to meet student’s needs.  Please stop by RM. 160 in Doug Fir before school to express your interest or email cdowling@lwsd.org with GWC in the subject line.

 

  • Students are you interested in participating in a Student Group? Do you like Robotics or coding? Interested in drawing? Maybe you enjoy Role Playing Games. All of these and many more student groups are here at RMS, did you know that on the RMS website there is a complete list of Student Groups and where they meet? Check it out and if you have any questions you can email the groups advisors. If there is a Group that you would like to have that is not yet created find a teacher that is willing to be the advisor and then see Mr. Mahendran in Portable 1 for more information.

 

  • Students did you know that for the month of September you can get a free breakfast every day? Stop in the commons when you come to school and check out all the options.

 

  • Are you interested in the art of group storytelling by creating and playing characters in an imaginary world? Interested in learning more about Dungeons and Dragons, FATE, or other Role Playing games? Then the RMS RPG club might be for you. If you would like to join, or have questions about Role Playing Games, then please come to an interest meeting after school this Friday, September 21st, in Ms. Morris’ room, room 153. Please email or see Ms. Morris if you have questions on how to get involved.

 

  • Reminder to all basketball players your paperwork is due tomorrow. If you need another one see your coach.

 

  • Reminder to all students when you are entering lunch, you need to do so safely. That means no running, pushing, pulling or grabbing people. Please calmly enter the room and find your place to sit.
