  • CALLING ALL RMS ARTISTS – REFLECTIONS PROGRAM is HERE!! The Reflections Program is a National PTA and Washington State PTA cultural arts competition. The theme for our 2018-2019 National Reflections Competition is “Heroes Around Me”.    We want to see how well you can creatively interpret this theme.  You may submit your original entry in up to six art areas.  - Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Film/Video and Choreography/Dance.  The deadline for submissions is October 30th.

 

  • Are you an avid reader? Do you REALLY like books? Would you like to choose books that will be in the RMS library? Then the Student Purchasing Committee is for you! Anyone interested should come to an informational meeting during lunch in the library. Bring your lunch and find out if this committee is something you would like to be a part of. There is no obligation—come see if it’s for you and decide if you want to join in and spend over $1000 on books for the RMS library!

 

  • Reminder to all Boys regional players you have an away game today please be in the gym right after school, so we are not late. See your coach if you have any questions.

 

  • The RMS Humanities Club will have its first meeting tomorrow in room 230. This new club is for anyone interested in participating in Model United Nations or National History Day. Please arrange to take the activities bus, walk home, or be picked up by 3 p.m. Future meetings will be on Tuesdays.   • Staff and students, coming up on November 9th we have a Veterans Assembly to honor the veterans who have served in the military. If you want, you can send photos of someone close to you that has served. These photos will be presented during the assembly in a PowerPoint. Please make sure you include their name and what branch of the military they served in. Have all photos sent by October 31st. If you have photos send them to s-kconklin@lwsd.org.

 

  • Reminder to all that today we are on an extended Grizzly Time schedule which means that students will be going to lunch during their 5th period classes. If you have any questions, see Mr. Williams.

 

 

This week we are talking about Mr. Neet, He attended Ithaca College in Ithaca New York where he earned a bachelor’s Degree in Drama and Creative Writing. Mr. Neet’s favorite class was bioethics. It was philosophy class about ethics in medical, biological and technological issues. An interest resting fact Bob Iger, the head of Disney, attended Ithaca, and Mr. Neet saw him speak on campus.
