Pacific Lutheran University is a small liberal arts school, with about 5000 students. Liberal arts mean that it’s focused on rigorous academic study in all areas, but they are also well known for professional schools like teaching, nursing, and business. They emphasize international education, by having a strong world language department, global studies classes, hosting conferences and international students, and sending many students to visit other universities around the world. Mrs Medsker spent six months in France, studying at the University of Nantes, and living with a French family
