• Student Purchasing Committee—Only 6 out of 24 members have responded to the book surveys! Remember that you need to make your book choices by the end of the day TOMORROW, Friday, February 23!!

  • Attention Honor Society hopefuls. A reminder that all application materials are due to the Student Services office by Friday at 3pm. Late applications will not be accepted. Please direct any questions to Ms. Morris.

  • There are all kinds of activities happening in the library! If you have a book cover to enter in the contest, that needs to be turned in today—see Ms. Metcalf if you need more time. March is bringing us READ ACROSS AMERICA in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday. All next week, come to the library to take a guess in the “One Fish, Two Fish” estimating challenge. One guess per person. There will be a prize for the closest guess in each grade. March Book Madness will also be starting soon. Pick up your bracket from the library after Tuesday. Brackets must be turned in before voting begins in order to be eligible for prizes, but everyone can vote! Stay tuned for more information!

  • We are starting something new this week at RMS. Every week we will select a college that one of our teachers attended and give you interesting facts and information about the school. If you hear something you want to know more about, just ask that teacher!

Mr. Young started us off.  He attended Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

  • Young’s favorite memories of his time at Central were sledding down the water tower hill using his friend’s Tuba case as the sled and riding his bike through campus when there was 3 feet of snow and 40 mile per hour winds!!
