Our first day of school will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. We will have two bus runs that day. Sixth graders, and new to RMS 7th/8th graders, will catch the bus at their normal time. They will arrive at RMS at 7:40 and spend their morning in small group settings getting familiar with our campus and staff. Buses will do another run 2.5 hours later to pick up and deliver our returning 7th and 8th grade students. Please do not drop off 7th/8th graders prior to 10 AM as we want our new students to have a successful orientation in a smaller setting. At 10:30, all students will run through their whole schedule and have a lunch period. School will end at the regular time of 2:20 PM.

No Early Release First Week:
As the first week of school is only 4 days, we will not have an early release on Wednesday September 6, 2017. All students will be released at 2:20 that day. Early release Wednesdays begin the following week and students are dismissed at 12:50.
Coffee with the Principal:
On the first day of school, September 5, we will hold our first “Coffee with the Principal” at 8:30 AM in the library. These events, sponsored by our PTSA and held monthly throughout the year, are a great chance for us to sit down and chat informally as a community. Please sign in at the attendance office.
Missed Griz Biz?
Not to worry! Students will receive the important paperwork when they pick up their schedules on the first day of school. Pickup makeups will be on September 11, during school. If you have community supplies from the supply list, send them with your student on the first day, we will have a spot for them to drop off. You can also pay for an ASB card and/or Yearbook online. Want to get in the Grizzly Spirit? Support the RMS ASB and buy a spirit shirt to show your Grizzly pride. Shirts are $15 and available from the ASB office.
